I'm working on the maya model for the Virgo, and i should finish it by the end of the week.. or at least i hope i can. I'm having a tough time on the hair of the Virgo, and it's probably gonna take at least 3 days to get the basic shape and stuff, and maybe i can make it look better later. Everything but the hair went well. Maybe after the Virgo model, i'll try to do the Leo, but again, the hair might take a while to do.

The packaging design. Our logo looks too serious to make a designer toy box.

The T-shirt. The design is basic and simple so it isn't too hard

Im starting on the box, then the shirt, then the magazine ad.

1.)I am coming up with ideas for our packaging and I am looking for some box template and some designs. I still have to wait for the finish sketch of the character so I can have the idea how the package will come up. I should be finish as soon as I get the good image of the character we are using.
ReplyDelete2.) We are having difficulties with our character. It is not coming out as we expect it to be because it looks mike an eskimo instead of like more hood type of character.
3.) The character making is going better than what it was before because everyone gave suggestions during the 5 minutes discussion before going to work.
4.) Next, I will be sketching out some banners and also help out with the maya process of the character.
5.) We really need some more help of making the character look better.

What are you doing and when will you finish?
ReplyDeleteRight now, I am working on several sketches for the t-shirt design. I have around 2 sketches and will be posting it up by today. I think I would be finish by wednesday. I will be deciding with my group which sketch they like then I will start on it.
What difficulties are you experiencing?
The difficulties I have with this project is figuring out ideas because I want my design to be original and unique but it is hard cause my brain has so many ideas and it is hard to put them all together.
What is going well?
The part that is going well is the fact that I have ideas for the t-shirt design and I am doing sketches just like Mr.Oconnor told us to do. I want everyone to see my steps to the final design.
What will you be doing next?
I will start designing it more detailed then what I have right now. After the design, I think I will start sketching the magazine ad. Lawerence will also start sketching the ad, so we will work together on this.

For our project we have split up the work and designated it among us. Cyrus will take care of the maya portion while Korey and I will both cover the different designing aspects. I personally will be in charge of the tshirt design and later on the advertisement clip. Hopefully I will be able to finish designing the T-shirt this weekend, and storyboarding our advertisement clip.
ReplyDeleteI haven't experienced too many difficulties, although I know that Cyrus is having trouble making our figure's hair. A slight problem I have is trying to design a shirt that will appeal to more than one audience. I'm working on sketches and I will complete a photoshop version this weekend.
The good things so far is that I have imagined a concept for our advertisement clip so we at least have a direction to move towards. I also know how I want the shirt to look like somewhat, but I'm not sure if I can pull off what I imagined.
After I complete the Tshirt design I want to tackle the advertisement clip. And if it's not the clip, I will be aiding Korey in designing our packaging.
1. I am currently working on the advertisement/poster design. I am trying to look for some inspiration for it but I have an idea of what I want to do. I plan to finish it by Wednesday so I can help my group to work on the t-shirt design.

ReplyDelete- I am currently working on the 3D model of our scientist design, and I
am planning to change my alien design, it resembles to much of the
alien from Toy Story.

- I just need to work on my alien design, and come up with a better
look.

- The 3D model is going really well, I'm almost done just needs a few
details, and some color and then I'm done.

- Well, after I come up with a design I'm satisfied with, I need to work
on finishing the specks for it.

1. Well right now I'm working on a Flash animation for our commercial. I think i'll finish by February.
ReplyDelete2. What's pushing my buttons right now is trying to incorporate our characters into the cartoon and making them move.
3. The specs I think went well because I have completed it, and it came out swell.

well currently i am working on the maya model of our bear. im aiming to finish it by this week so i could turn it in. the only difficulty i face is me trying to recall how to build body shapes by using a basic cube. but im slowly gaining the ability to do that again. i guess that what going well is building this model. im actually getting the model to look its right shape and everything. As a group what we aim to do next is to tackle the rest of what needs to be done esp. the advertising clip.

Currently I am working on designing our companies poster and I aim to finish this poster by the end of the week so I can help my group with the packaging design and the advertisement clip. Personally the only thing that is really causing me some difficulty is the concept of the poster. EVerything else in my opinion is coming out well because our team is communicating and focused on finishing this project by December. After the poster I'm going to help with the packaging and the clip with my group.

ReplyDeleteRight now I am currently working on the packaging portion of our groups project. I've recently finished a few roughs and I am currently doing some find tuning to get a final product. Also our groups goal is to create a Spray paint type of package so our difficulty right now is looking for some sort of package type. I am hoping to finish by next week Wednesday.
2.) What difficulties are you experiencing?
My difficulty that I've face is finding the right type of packaging template that can create a spray paint type of design.
3.) What is going well?
Right now I have the general idea in my head and most props for the design is laid out so I am really close to a final and close to finishing.
4.) What will you be doing next?
After this packaging portion is over I hope that our Maya object is fully complete so our media ad can be created. BUt if maya help is needed I will be glad to help my fellow partner. Also as a group we would like to start on our t-shirt design.

I feel that my group is working really hard and we all try to make the time and effort to just put in a little work here and there. SO ALL IS GOOD!
I am working on the 2d maya of our character. I had trouble finding a design that looked gangster but i found a character shape that i like and think would work. The concept of our idea is a good idea but just putting the ideas together was a problem. Our group is now working on our packaging, poster, and t- shirt. And as soon as i get the design to Robert be can start modeling.

3)Well now my maya-ing seems to be going smoothly, so if things continue to do so, i should be done this week... hopefully.

Some of difficulties on doing this project is coming up with the idea of the design that matches our groups concept.

Some things thats going well with the project is our drawings of the character, the 3d model in maya, and the t-shirt design. I am doing ok with my t-shirt logo, i just have to make minor changes.

We would probably be focusing on the packaging and the magazine ad.

1. Currently I am working on the packaging portion of my designer toy project.
2. I am experiencing difficulty vectoring everything on my design. It isn't difficult but it just takes a lot of time, therefore it frustrates me. Also Im not too sure how to design my milk carton... I might be needing assistance with that.
3. The design is coming out exactly how I wanted it to so I am very happy about that.
4. Next I will work on the T-shirt and poster design because it is due really soon, so I'll finish this up and get started asap!
