On the internet, find 3 different designer toy sample designs that you like. Write a paragraph on why you think these designs are interesting design. (Download these designs and include them to your blog.)
Part 2: Sketches
(Individual Assignment - Due: Wednesday, Oct 21) 50 points
- Create 10-15 rough sketches of possible designs for an original designer toy.
- When you are done with your rough sketches, choose one design that you like and create a detailed sketch (Front, side, back, 3/4 view) on a separate paper.
Part 3: Critique
Tuesday, Oct 21 - Place sketches on the whiteboard
We will be treating this assignment as if it were a real "product pitch" to a company creative director. Time is money and meeting deadlines are extremely important. we will have a critique as soon as the tardy bell rings. Sketches must be taped to the whiteboard by the time the bell rings to receive full credit.
